I recently saw a picture of Tracee Ellis Ross at the Fashion Awards wearing a beaded statement necklace that embodied her bold style and personified her true self. It was refreshing and enlightening and reminded me that style should always be fun and comfortable first. As a mother of three, I’m always on the go, so time spent primping is hardly existent, however over the years I’ve learned to keep my everyday outfits simple and always paired with a bold statement piece whether it’s a necklace or earrings—my look feels complete and polished, and most importantly, it makes me feel good.
" Fashion you can buy, but style you possess. The key to style is learning who you are, which takes years. There's no how-to road map to style. It's about self expression and, above all, attitude." - Iris Apfel
